Here is what I want for Christmas, Santa Claus. I have been pretty good this year. I didn’t wreck any scooters or anything at all, really. I’ve been minding my own business and for that I should be rewarded with the following things. If I could sit on your lap and tell you these things, I would, problem is, I can’t tell you from a dirty old crazy bum wearing a Santa suit in Tucson.
Here goes:
1. I want to stop noticing the exact color of the grass and the formation of the weeds and the angle of sunlight as it hits the start line, and isn’t that like nothing I’ve seen before?, and just simply turn off and race. To stop reading that exact expression on Sheeba’s face and recognizing that that means that Brooke lost a glove, and I need to check on that, and the angle of the sun on the start line is whitish orange now and I wonder if she notices that, and who is that? and that look on that girls face tells me she is gonna crash in corner #2, and if the light hits off the horizon on turn #4 like I think it will then I will take off solo as they slow, and is that plant in the aloe family, and does aloe really help burns? good thing I remembered sunscreen, and did Brooke get a glove or did Nikki do the dishes AGAIN? and man, I need to do more, and the sky is now bluegreenvioletsilver and one that I would only see in the southeast and I wonder how I will remember that to recreate it when I’m 80, and I like her hair, and listen to that bass line it reminds me of that CD Jennette made last night for the drive today and that marshmallow hamburger was awesome…. and SIMPLY RACE! Just race. Santa. I wanna just race for Christmas.
2. Patience. With myself. With others I don’t know. With Winterhaven’s stupid Christmas light show that bungles up my drive to my house every day.
3. Since I’ve found a lot of peace in myself this year, Santa, I was wondering if I could manufacture it and give it as gifts to those I care about? It would have to be for cheap though.
4. To slow down time, like years.
5. To do my best and nothing more or less.
6. To prove everyone who believes in me right.
7. To love better and never feel sorry for myself.
8. a new laptop
9. good sleep.
